Thank you for visiting our website! We are very glad to welcome you.
As COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease, we are gradually returning to some in-person services and other activities – but our parish is still functioning very differently from usual. We look forward to opening further in the coming weeks.
If you’re new to the parish or visiting us, or if you are looking for some help from us, please do get in touch with us.
Welcome to the Anglican Parish of Altona/Laverton.
We are one community of Christians meeting in two church centres in the western suburbs of Melbourne: St Eanswythe’s in Altona and St Clement’s in Altona Meadows. We gather to worship God and to build bridges of care and support within the church and the community. We all come with different stories, backgrounds, languages, hopes, concerns and uncertainties.
Our parish lies on the traditional country of the Yaluk-ut Weelam people within the Boonwurrung clan, part of the greater Kulin nation. We recognise and honour the Indigenous custodians of this land over countless generations, and we pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We commit ourselves to the path of reconciliation, justice and healing.
