All Souls’ service 2021

A service to remember those who have died, especially in recent years – a time for both gratitude and grieving.

5pm, Sunday 7th November
St Eanswythe’s, Altona

You are welcome if you have lost a loved one recently, or many years ago. You are welcome if you are grieving, or if you want to pray for someone else who is. You are welcome if COVID restrictions have prevented you from being present at the funeral of someone who meant a lot to you. Please join us for this time of remembering our loved ones before God.

As you arrive, there will be an opportunity to add names to the list of those who will be remembered during the service.

In order to accommodate a larger congregation, we do need to ask those attending to provide proof of COVID vaccination. We are sorry if this prevents you from joining us in person: please do share in the service via the live stream.

As we seek to look after each other in these COVID times, please also note:

  • You will be asked to check in when you arrive – you can use your own device with the Victorian Government QR code, or a welcomer will do this for you.
  • Please apply hand sanitiser on arriving and leaving.
  • Masks need to be worn at all times.
  • If you are at all unwell (cough, cold, runny nose, temperature, sore throat), or have been in close contact with someone who is unwell, please stay at home.

This service will also be live streamed on our parish Facebook page.

In this service we acknowledge and lament that we continue to be kept apart from each other and from the Lord’s table; we pray for the world and each other; and, as at every Eucharist, we “proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes”.
