Lent resources 2020

We are about to come to Ash Wednesday and the start of the season of Lent. There are many resources available to help you make the most of this season of prayer and renewal. Below are just a few to explore:
TEAR Australia: Becoming people of hope today
Join us on a journey towards Easter and explore what it looks like to be people of hope in a world that is crying out for God’s Kingdom to be revealed. Weekly reflections and original artwork, prayer prompts and Bible study resources for the seven weeks of Lent.

Common Grace: Jesus says ‘I am’
Join with the Common Grace community in reflecting on the seven ‘I Am’ statements from the Gospel of John. Led by a range of interesting bible teachers, you’ll hear from the diversity of the church about what we have in common – the Lord Jesus. Each week from February 26th you’ll receive a video, daily bible readings and a reflection to stimulate your faith in Jesus as we head to Easter.

St Eanswythe’s Summer Fair
The St Eanswythe’s Summer Fair is coming up on 29th February – save the date and come along!

Service of healing and wholeness
This service resumes on Friday for 2020 – and this year will be each month on the first Friday of the month. Anyone is welcome.

Prayer in a time of bushfire

Bishop Kate Prowd has called parishes in the Oodthenong Episcopate to pray for all those who have been affected by this summer’s fires, on Sunday 2 February at 5pm. This service is one of many taking place at the same time, as we join in prayer for comfort, healing and renewal.
Everyone is welcome.
Anglicare Bushfire Appeal
Here is one way to offer practical support for those caught up in the ongoing bushfire disaster:
Anglicare Victoria are urgently seeking donations to support those who have been devastated by these bushfires.
Donations can help us provide emergency relief to people and families who are running out of supplies. Your donation today can help us provide the necessary support to those who need it most.

Praying together in Advent

Is this what you need at the moment? Half an hour of stillness, as we pray and long for Jesus to come into the needs of our lives and our world. Everyone is welcome: starting Wednesday 4 December.
